There is a universe where no one lies
And this is what the living want
My footsteps are blurry,
Like the memory of your face
My heart is a blackout poem
It is a rusty motel key
The neon lights on the vacancy sign slice through the ravenous night
The ocean reaches for the moon
One would not exist without the other
Or all would cease to be
Beauty is a duet
We will always search for the same Sun
My mouth burns from the thought of your kiss
The cadence of your voice a thoughtful challenge
The glimmer in your gaze offers a promise
You are every man in this forsaken city,
But I never seem to find you when my body calls
Tell me I’ll never get tired of this,
The sun will burn forever,
I’ll never find you on a crowded street,
But I won’t stop searching
