NOW ACCEPTING PREVIOUSLY UNPUBLISHED PIECES!
Just a Cuppa Literary Journal is proud to accept from an incredibly wide selection of media. The submission guidelines include information on written works, comics, visual art and photography, and collaborative pieces. If you have something in your portfolio that does not quite fit into these categories, please feel free to reach out to the email below to query for your work.
Submissions are open year-round, but, as I am currently the only person on staff, I ask that you limit yourself to one submission from any single genre until your submission has been processed. At this time, I am only able to accept works originally in or translated to English. Please format each written work in William Shunn’s Modern Manuscript Format. Information on how to do this may be found here.
Submissions are open year round, but the quarterly issue your piece appears in, if accepted, depends on when you submit it. Please see the chart representing Submission Periods below:
Spring: January 1st to March 31st
Summer: April 1st to June 30th
Fall: July 1st to September 30th
Winter: October 1st to December 31st
Just a Cuppa does allow simultaneous submissions so long as this information is included in your cover letter. You must also immediately withdraw your submission upon its acceptance elsewhere.
By submitting, Contributors grant Just a Cuppa first publication rights (with non-exclusive reprint rights retained by the author)

Dear [Editor/s],
I hope you consider the poem, Love Through Plums, I have attached. This is a poem looking into the intricacies of how a mother and father treat their child differently in their acts of love. The metaphor of plums is presented with the father eating a plum and a mother offering a plum to her child.
